SESSION DESCRIPTION: Ultimately, any real and long term improvements in your installation’s energy security posture will require joint action. Since many energy security solutions require the participation, support and sometimes investments by the local utility, it is critical that Federal energy managers understand industry business drivers, models, and processes. The ability to align and identify mutually advantageous goals and business cases will be key to success in a financially constrained environment.

Also discussed will be how to “sell” the proposed solution to senior management by bundling security requirements with other projects.

SESSION DESCRIPTION: Energy managers, planners, & programmers will learn techniques to raise the likelihood of securing funding for their energy security projects. By clearly defining the costs, benefits and performance criteria, project managers can facilitate the funding process. By helping financing authorities better understand the benefits and value of an energy security project they can make more informed decisions in the approval process.
